SEF 8X6 vs Sunray X8 Want help for Fathers day purchase

Looking to purchase either a Sunray X8 or a SEF 8X6. I wanted to get everyones opinion of these two coils before I purchase something this coming week. So if you use either of these lets here what you think. Thanks in advance......

I've never hunted with the X8 but I do have the 8x6 sef coil. The 8x6 coil does an excellent job of pulling silver from trashy areas and gets great depth for a small coil. Sorry I can't comment on the X8 but I can tell you the 8x6 is an impressive coil.

I have both and they are about the same performance wise (depth & separation) but the X8 is more noisy especially when it bumps against things (like stubble), so for this reason I prefer the sef 8x6.

I have the 8x6 SEF and what I like best is that I know that I'm getting great depth. The last few hunts, I've just left the 8x6 on since it's so light and I feel like I'm covering a lot of ground. It just doesn't seem like a small coil to me.

This is all really good information guys, thanks. Seems like either way I go I'm going to get a great coil. I welcome any further discussion on these two coils.
