SEF 6x8 coil setting on V3i

When using the 6x8 sef coil on my V3i, which setting is best, 5.3 eclipse or 6x10 eclipse, for best performance? Which one do you use on your V3i when using this coil?
 
I don't think there is much difference between the two. To the best of my knowledge, the coil selection feature just fine tunes the depth reading to be a little more accurate.

Yep, just use the one the gives you the most accurate reading. Performance is not affected.
 
I'll throw in a monkey wrench...I run mine with the 950 setting. I detected a 6" quarter in the ground the outer day, and it pinpointed at 6 " and it was indeed at 6 inches. It works for me.
 
It pinpoints the same as your D2 or any DD coil. Try using the search feature.
