......the Detroit institute of Arts has had in its posession,for the last 100+years,a DOCUMENTED,AUTHENTIC battle staff(flag) that accompanied the 7th Cavalry into battle of Custer's Last Stand in Montana;June 25th,1876.It is sealed in a glass case,complete with original blood stains on it.On 7 news last night,they said that flag is going up for auction today;for the DIA is short on funds;and the sale of this item is expected to generate"2 to 5 million dollars".............:blink:WOW.............
 
Like so many others, I both appreciate and enjoy studying history but that's an enormous amount of money to expend to get an 'Old Flag'. Think of how many under privileged children that would help or how many homeless families that would bring relief to or how many new businesses could be begun with a little help financially. Boggles the mind.
 
There are those who can afford to pay millions for anything that they would want and desire, but it is a shame that most of those who are millionaires will not use it for the good of other people, who are suffering and need shelter and food! A flag is not a necessity and that flag only represents the death and defeat of America and the Indians! We took away their land and so they fought us to take it back but lost, for they were put on reservations of poor lands and have suffered ever since! People, because of satan, seem to prefer taking other peoples land and homes by warring against them! I know war is necessary when dictators through their cruel ways destroy people, so they have to be stopped if possible....but to go into a nation and take over is awful and that is what the illegal aliens and Muslims are doing to America and, we the citizens, do not like it and will fight back....Americans are a proud people (like the Indians were) and are true patriots...and will fight against the enemy and our own gov't if it comes to that, so don't give our freedoms away to those who haven't earned or deserved it!
