Didn't know if it was cool or not to post link to another detecting forum.

I never thought of the cuff as a problem. I am one of the few strap users out there. I always thought they offered more support. I also like the room to slide my arm in and out with coat sleeves.

And my replacement Relic happens to have the same 'standard design' Impact arm cup and strap like my other Impact. And I am 100% with 'goodmore' in really liking the size and shape, especially when late fall arrived and certainly winters chillier temps. The sides are quite adequate is height, and during the summer of shirtsleeve attire might have a titch more room, but still comfortable and I like to use arm cup straps on all my Nokta, Makro and White's detectors. You don't cinch yourself in, just a comfortable 'snugging' that eliminates slop yet still allows me to slide my arm out without loosening the Velcro strap.

The when fall arrive and it cooled to wearing a flannel or fleece shirt with long-sleeves, and on into winter when we are wear3ing a warmer coat, the impact's arm cup is one of the most accommodating. I like my two Impacts just the way they are, and when I get more lower rods in the future they will be the 'modern' or 'current' design like most of mine are now.
