Ha ha, that got yer attention lol.
I recently had ear surgery, ( 2 weeks ago yesterday).
I was 'bout 97% deef in my left ear.
The boney things that vibrate and transmit the sound to the noivs was dead er somethin.
Anywho, i now have platinum in there and MERCY can i ever hear now !!!!!!!!
I went off a cliff in my big rig back in '87 and seems the damage happened then
but the hearin went away very slowly over time.
I never realized how much i was missin and now everything is way too loud !!!!
I still have a few more weeks of healin and the doc says that my hearing is only gonna improve more over that period of time
DANG !! I can't wait to strap on the Grey Ghosts and hear/see what i've been missin right here in my own 180+ year old yard !!!

Even more so, i can't wait to see the grambabies and hear all i've ben missin from them :inlove:

( dang, how ever did Janet put up with me havin to have everything turned all the way up before )

Colls, ( that's southern fer coils) will be swung, DEEP holes will be dug, OLD silver will be yanked from the soll. ( that's southern fer soil) :detecting:

Take care of yer ears folks.

Mmmm. i wonder if my IDX or DFX will pick up the platinum in my head
Seriously tho. I was given a card at the hospital to carry that proves i have a metal implant coz they say i'll set off security devices now.

Another words you can hear your wife now when shes pissed at you  I don't know if thats a good thing.

They clipped the little bone between the two others and wired it together! my Doc said it was because I grew up drinking well water, and it was quite common in the past before Flouride...'course all the shootin' and machinery, and getting whacked on the noggin didn't help either. Used to get real frustrated and had to plan where I sat in restaurants so my good ear was towards the waitress, etc. BUT, I miss not being able to lay my good ear on the pillow, and not have to listen to every little noise at night..I will say this, I think the wire broke or something, cause I cant hear @#$t out of that ear now, but I havn't told my wife! HA! I'm happy for you Jim, just amazing what they can fix nowadays!

go broke ya can always sell the platinum! Seriously though I have to turn my TV and radio louder to hear and then I miss some sounds...my hearing slowly went bad because of absessed ears that made me very ill with corruption running out of both ears when I was a freshman in high school...mom finally got the neighbors to take me to our ole doc for medicine....my dad worked in St. Louis then and we lived on the farm with no extra car and mom couldn't drive anyway, so very difficult to get to the doctor! May God Bless you to hear better more and more! Amen! Ma Betty

Jim West Pa, it's good to get yourself fixed every now and then.

My wife likes to tell me things from another room. I can hear her voice but I can't make out the words. I keep telling her I can't hear her and to come in front of me when she has something to say. Well, now I just don't respond at all. Then, down the road she'll say " don't you remember when I told you, (this and that) gosh hun, you have a bad memory". Now, not only is my hearing not up to snuff, but my memory is lacking also.
Women,.... gotta love em.
