See a lot of F5, and F75 machines for sale ....

Well perhaps not a lot ... but I have seen a few pop up for sale or trade recently.
A lot of like new X-Terras also.

I bought an F5 as I always liked fisher detectors and wanted to try their new offerings.
It isnt a CZ-70 ... but it aint bad either ... light weight ... easy to use ... good depth ... and good discrimination.
Alas ... I will probably trade it off also ... not because I dont like it ... Actualy it is a neat little machine ... its just I have other detectors I like using better and most of my coils are for the Explorer series of detectors.

I guess others are selling and trading theirs for much the same reason.

Soon as the wader I ordered gets here and after I test drive it - if found to be able to do what I need,my F5 may be up for sale just to give somebody else the chance of owning such a great machine.I've found it to be everything Willee said-my only complaint so far no 5" coil yet

I put my two month old F5 up for sale on the classifieds a couple of weeks ago. My reason is that I'm leaving the hobby due to age (66) and health issues. This is the first brand new detector I've had in fifteen years. The wife surprised me with it and I tried it out for a couple of hours.Great little detector, with all the knobs to use without having to scroll through a long menu to get what you want. But alas I just can't hack it any more.If anyone is interested in a "mint+" F5, look me up. Ron.

The F75 can be a tough machine to understand...it is so fast and sees so much that you have to really be tuned into it to like it and understand it. I have had a lot of detectors over the years and they are just too slow for me. I have found relics that were so close to trash or iron I can see why they are missed by other machines. I really love the F75 I know if I can't find it with that machine it is going to be even harder for another machine to find what I missed. And I like the F5 it is a little brother and a great backup for the price.

No it aint a CZ-70 that's for sure;). They should re-make that rather than repackage everything. I used a CZ-7A for years & really wish I had never sold it now. I'd love to have a CZ-70, for the beach & deep coinhunting. I always loved the ability to notch out coins. Hardly any of these new fangled ID units do this, but enginners have to realize the value of it & that all of us are not coinshooters. Most of us go to the beach for rings, not to scoop pennies all day.......

It would be nice if the detector makers could make a detector with all the features people want but different people want different things. What is perfect or close to perfect to one is junk to another lol. Just my thoughts for what little they count. I like the way Mike Hillis says it: "in search of the perfect detector for me."
