I was a lot better than I thought I was this year. I got a new digging tool from my favorite Aunt and I never would have paid that kind of money for it even though I always wanted to try one out. Got some Coin Collecting and MD reading materials plus all the goodies I loaded up on for myself including the Mizar gold tester I was asking for opinions about.
Now to my Secret Santa. Great gift. I opened it on 12/23 before I left town and just didn't have time to post this. I thought I might get a chance to make a post at my sister's house but her kids kept me real busy. The gift was a great binder, some 2x2 pages and various size 2x2s and a nice silver Franklin half to start me out. Two observations. I had started a book like this early and December and decided I would finish it up in January or February. I will, of course, be using my new gift. Two. I bet I am one of the only people in the country who has received a coin in the mail from our esteemed brotherly detecting duo. Thanks a million Rosco! I really like it!
I wish I was keeping up with this forum but as I logged on tonight I had over 70 new topics and over 500 unread new posts. It is too depressing for me to look at all the great loot you guys are finding while I am snowed in. I have it on my to do list to catch up this weekend.
One more update. I ended up interviewing for the job that wanted Spanish speaking as a requirement (several weeks ago) and had a great interview. I was offered a better job, more hours that I want though and a 45 minute commute, after that interview and I have a second interview with the manager of the local office on Thursday for the first position I was interested in. The office (job I want) is about a 90 second walk from my place which is why I applied in the first place.
