As the weather was beautiful again I decided to go out for my second little hunt. My daughter and I got up early this Saturday and we hit the local park half past eight. Blue sky, little white clouds, but cold and the ground still frozen. The park is near a medieval moated castle; I took a photo with my mobile - that's the reason why the quality is not that good.

I started detecting and my daughter started feeding the crows and later on the goats, as they left their nearby stable.
(Background on the left side - this is only a small part of the playground)

After an hour and a half we decided that we are nearly frozen and so we walked back to our car. My daughter insisted that I take a photo with her swinging the detector.

So this is what we have found in that one and a half hour.

A little child's hair clip.
A Matchbox car produced 2004 (Ford GT Model 2005)
20 cent (2002)
A corroded 1 Pfennig coin from 1982 or 1983
A very corroded 5 Pfennig coin from 1991
Not too bad for our second try. The coins showed up very solid on the TID - with a clear sound. The Matchbox car was only one and a half inch deep and I thought I blow up the detector as I tried to pinpoint it - the pinpoint sound was that loud crying. Overall I have to say that this time I found it much easier to detect and to pinpoint the targets. I still believe, that the first playground we visited had a bad ground, because of the coal mine located there before.
I am looking forward to the next weekend. My daughter and I havn't decide what locating we hunt - maybe the same playground, mostly because of the goats.
Thanks, Peter
