Well made another video today at the park. Hope ill run into a gold ring sooner or later enjoy.:pulltab:

Thats strange i can see the video right on this post. Plus it has 59 views? The first camera clip even has coments?:stars:

Nice short hunt. Thanks for showing it. A pin pointer would be a good investment. It will shorten the time to find the targets.

ok where do I start. Not trying to be mean here, but trying to help. Please understand that.

1. you are swinging way too incredibly fast. You are gonna be missing targets all the time swinging like that. SLOW way down.
2. when you cut a plug, please replace all the dirt back in the hole, leaving it all over is messy and gives other people who detect a bad name. U should not leave any trace someone was digging there. Try to be as neat as possible.
3. When you get those jumpy signals, don't just quickly pinpoint and dig, turn 45 degrees and sweep over it again, then turn a lil more and sweep again. That will rule out a LOT of junk signals for u. A lot of times you will not get a good signal when you turn and it will save u time digging trash, deep iron etc...
4. when you pinpoint, first center your target left to right, then once you have that, slowly drag your coil back till circle is almost complete but not quite, then go forward just a hair till circle is full again, target will be exactly in center of coil. You pinpoint so fast, just like your swing, so it down, no hurry.
5. get your a pinpointer it will speed up your target retreival 10 fold, imagine if you dug a nice key date silver coin and you pounded your digger thru the pile of dirt trying to find it and gouged it.

that comes out now is a square on the top left that has 3 little squares inside, 1 red, two blue...oh well, thanks anyway. John

I would like to add another piece of advice that Goes4ever didn't post.
6. Get yourself a rag around 12" square or so, no smaller. Place any soil you remove on this rag. Then as goes4ever suggested, use a pinpointer to find the target. Once you find the target, pour all the soil back into the hole. Then replace the plug.

Keep the videos coming. I'm gonna try to get my Daughter to follow me around sometime with her video camera and see what we can come up with.

Im using vista...if I figure it out I'll let u know, but for now I go to u-tube and type in trackerman and watch it.

No prob i was going a bit fast sorry guys but i get about 10 minutes a video allowed from utube for each video So thats why i move fast. Usually when not recording i move slower. . I usually do cover the plugs well and do make them as neat as possible it just 10 minutes a video goes quick and also hard to dig and film and detect all at the same time.

how about this? swing normal, dig normal, when you get a good target film it, then shut off camera fill hole real nice, and look for next target, when you find it, dig it then turn camera back on again. You ever watch my videos? No way would I continuously film. You have to keep stopping camera.

One last thing I noticed in your last 2 videos, in the first one you dug something then threw it, and again in this video when you dug the penny you threw it. ANYTHING you dig up, take with you, if you don't want it, put it in park trash can.

I recently saw a post where someone was using a piece of rubber from an inner tube. I tried it and it works like a champ. We have been having monsoons lately and bar towels I have been using were getting soaked and completely muddy. If the mud sticks to the rubber all I have to do is give it a quick rinse in a puddle and I'm good to go.It also rolls up or folds tight and I stick in in my pouch.

Great tip. I should have thought of that. Same thing happens to me when I go out at sunrise. All the dew from the grass soaks my towel. Thanks Ron.

Hadn't even thought about U tube, I'll check it out and if you figure out what the problem is, I surely would like to know. Up until a couple of weeks ago I could view all the videos and then just suddenly I couldn't see them anymore. HH
