Second two cent piece of the year.

Got in a quick 90 minute hunt yesterday before some rain showers sent me packing. Dug a 1915-S wheatie, 1888 and 1907 indian head cents before I got lucky and pulled this nice 1864 two cent piece. Second one this year, both are 1864's and both from the same park. Just wish I would dig one without the green crust on one side.

nice ! yeah bummer about the green crud it seems to be coppers long term downfall , but still fun finds

great find - I had a two-center with same hard corrosion on one side. I tried the hydrogen peroxide method and it wiped out the date (1864). :sad: Congrats
