Actually I found this a couple of days ago but didn't figure out it was silver until late last night. It was in 2 to 3 feet of water and several inches below the surface of the sand. It looked like it had been there for a long time, it was even starting to get sea sand / rocks stuck to it. When I first looked at it I said to myself "It's too ugly to be worth anything as in gold or silver." When I got home I ran it under hot water, that didn't do a darn thing, Then I tried scratching the green / gray coating that seemed to cover the whole thing. When I did this I saw a metal under that that looked like silver, sure I know other metals look like silver too, but something just said "silver" to me. So that night I let it sit in some water and a bit of generic oxyclean. That turned out to be busto. Then I tried vinegar and baking soda, again busto. So then I said the heck with it and tossed it in to the tumbler, then fell asleep in the recliner for a couple of hours, when I woke up I checked the ring and could make out the 925 stamp in kind of a strange place that had a lot of build up on it. So yes I know that you should not tumble silver! So anyway this is my second semi-valuable ring with the Tesoro.
