Got out of work early today, and decided to give the Infinium another work over today. Not a bad day.....the temperature was several degree below freezing, much better then the forecast of -30 this coming Friday:(. I dug all the high-low signals and got all this.

I found a cache (change purse)with 29 coins in it. Not too shabby for this time of year!

What a find, I'm looking for one of those full of old coins:detecting:.

Great finds John. Congrads. I feel lucky if I find a brownie or two. But I consider coins just extra prizes while relic hunting.

You done good John but then you always do. Still can't get out here and we're supposed to have some really chilly weather on the way. The East Coast is setting an all time record for high heat. Global warming is here.

Bill

Nice assortment of finds, John. Sounds as if your new Infinium is doing well, even at below freezing.

It's more like selective global warming. We have had more snow this year since the past 30-40 years. (good for snow hill hunting) This weekend the temperature is supposed to drop down to -30C/-22F. I could just bang my head against the wall :rage: when I see the "Beach and Water Detecting Forum".

It is really different then any other machine that I have ever used. Very sensitive to targets. Kinds like running a detector in very high sensitivity and it becoming unstable. But....it does get the targets and does speak a new language, and I am slowly learning it. :)

I like to hunt it all! I love getting old silver, and will also bend over to pick up a penny too. Loot allows me to buy new detectors, accessories and other goodies.

I have only found one old leather purse, down about 10 inches. It had a half dollar, some nickels and pennies in it.

I know how you feel. I have this great beach down the road. It has these deep holes dropping down to untold treasures. Last week end it was 84 deg.F and the water was almost 70 deg. F. I stand there looking down into the clear water knowing I can't do anything about. I would jump in the water, only if I had an Infinium.

Actually, according to the experts, this is the warmest winter on record for the U.S.. I think it's here and they are predicting disease will be rampant due to the increased temps.

Bill

And a great pic too.

John,

Have you had a chance to turn up the dicrimination / pulse delay to see what it does to targets?

No......I have been just trying to get used to the sounds and feel of this machine. I understand playing with the discrimination can move some targets ie low high and high low back and forth. I think that will be next months lesson. I really appreciate all the Emails, help, suggestions etc that I have had from the Infinium users. It is such valuable information to cut down on the learning curve. I really like your method of tuning this machine. So simple!
