Second Hunt with Expolorer

Got out Friday again for a few hours with my new SE Pro. Found a 1906 Indian and a few wheaties but nothing spectacular. I have a few questions and I hope you more experienced users can help me out.
1. Do you ever dig high ferrous-high conductive signals like 17-18 Fe on up. I got a lot of those 17-29, 19-30 signals. Dug a few. Only nails in hole. Where is your limit on Fe #'s that you won't dig?
2. Do you generally run in Deep, Fast or both modes?
3. Shouls I be more high pitch oriented instead of number focused? I do not use the smartscreen much because I am a very numbers-type person.
Thanks

I'll give my opinion, although I'm probably more selective in what I dig than most people.
1. I use iron mask at 22, so I'll dig it if it has the right sound, even if the FE is high. Above 22 I don't even hear them. If it sounds somewhat good when I turn 90 degrees, I dig. If just a null when turned 90 degrees, I leave it.
2. Deep on, fast off.
3. yes, most will tell you that the sounds are more important than the numbers. I also use digital, but I would guess that most use smartscreen. My first exp. was the SE pro, and I was already used to numbers on my previous detector.
