I went back to a location I hit last April. An 18th cent. house had been torn down but the surrounding area was fairly overgrown. Last yearI pulled two silver washingtons out of the same hole and I managed to find a beautiful 19th cent two piece hunting button - Had a stag being overtaken by a dog as the design.
Sunday I spent a while finding only a few wheats ( I noticed a few recent divots scattered about) then I found a very nice LC token. Has E PLURIBUS UNUM
over the bust and on the reverse around the edge says MILLION FOR DEFENSE. In the center says NOT ONE CENT FOR TRIBUTE. The date is 1837.
(Last Sunday on my first hunt I found an 1863 New York Store token).
