Second diamond ring this year. 1 for Jan and 1 for Feb..

This morning after I got the boys off to school, I looked up some parks in Hot Springs. It's about 1/2 hour drive.

Ate brekfast and headed out.

The first three parks didn't look promising enough. I stopped at the fourth park and found a few coins and a pendant.

The fifth city park has a sand swim beach on a lake. I could tell that someone had already been there MDing. Wasn't expecting much.

I was pleasantly surprised though.:O I found four rings. One is a 10k white gold ring with 16 small diamonds.:) Had seventeen but one is missing.:( One of the diamonds is larger and centered. I found a gold chain in real bad shape. Found five ear rings. Found a few pendants. The one that is a clover leaf is 925 silver. I also found a cool green pocket knife.

About 3 or 4 hours of hunting and it was time to go get the kids.

Pretty good day's hunt,

Hey Tabdog, This is how you pay for your machines.:clapping: It's a great hobby and you had an even greater day. Good work and not a bad start to 2008.

JACKPOT !!!! Hope you don't get spoiled and expect those kind of finds every time.:clapping: Great finds. Congratulations. Ill bet it gets uncomfortable walking with that horseshoe.

The City park guys talked to me for a while. They looked at my Compadre. They would have said something about it, but didn't want to hurt my feelings. They saw a wad of trash I showed them. I could see that they thought I was a foolish old man. I would rather show my trash than my finds.

That's alright a fool can say anything and get by with it. Especially if he's a old bald headed far+ like me.

HH,

Thanks for bringing me back to reality.:| I needed that.

You know, that's something we all face. I mean, when you make a good find, then you want to keep on making more good finds. But it seems inevitable that you will go out and find nothing much for your efforts.

At this point you must be able to enjoy this hobby for what it is.:) It produces the unexpected.:O Sometimes that means few good finds.

But For that, and other reasons, I love this hobby:inlove:

HH,

WTG,You are a jewelry magnet. You are sure making my decision to get
another Tesoro, with all your wonderful treasures I dont think I could go wrong :clapping:

They are simple.

They work well.:)

Terri, I had to work my way down.

Cibola $$$$$
Euro Sabre $$$$
Eldorado $$$
Silver S uMax $$
Compadre $

Which ones found the diamond rings?

Silver Sabre uMax and Compadre.:O

Right now, I am having a hard time putting that cheep little old Compadre down.:detecting:

It is just hard to beat.:starwars:

There are some down sides.

Not real deep, (but respectable).

Can't change coils.:O( It has the best one on it ):)

No threshold based all metal mode. (Can't have everything).

No pin point mode. (Pin points like a small cookie cutter).

No depth gauge.:O (I can gauge depth with it better than any MD I ever had, and I had two MD's with depth gauges);).

No display. (Who wants to watch TV while they are MDing)

I can sell them, (but I just can't get no commission).

They are just fun, light detectors that work well. That's why I use um.:):detecting::tesoro:..=...FUN
