Hi All,
Got out today for a couple of hours to try hunting at a local fresh water swimming hole. Everybody had left for the day so it was just me and my CTX. I have never hunted the water before and I must say it was a little weird taking it into the lake. I was hunting in "GoneHunting's Combine Program". I seemed to like that. The sounds tended to resemble the Etrac. My first hit was a bouncy 12-41..12-46. Turned out to be a quarter. Seemed to be common for the quarters to bounce around. Nickels were solid 12-13 or 12-15. Pennies in the high 30's. One penny signal 12-38 chirped at 9-10 inches, couldn't really get a good sweep on it. Pin Pointed it and sure enough it was a penny. The child's ring came in at a 12-44..12-45. The hardest part was getting use to the scoop and trying to get it in the right spot. Started to get the hang of it. Will take some more practice for sure. Waves may throw a big kink in the system!
I think I am gonna like it!
Thanks for looking,
Bunker
