Finds are from a short Friday after work hunt with the Tornado coil where I pulled the 1877 Seated Dime, 1957 Roosevelt and the St Benedict Medal at an area real old school.
The seated dime was right next to a big nail which I pulled out of hole first. It wasn't a very good signal but I got it to repeat and it sounded like a deep wheat penny once I was right over it.
The St Benedict medal was about 30 feet from the dime and read like an Indian Head Penny. It seems to be plated gold and cleaned up well. I am unsure of its age but it was about 5-6 inches deep.
I started the day on Sunday with my Thunder coil heading out @ 5 am a couple hours or so south to try for a dime grand slam so I concentrated on a very old pounded town square type park to go for barber as I knew that coin would be toughest to get for the day and got the 1917 merc, bracelets and the Indian.
The nice Standing Liberty came at a 2nd old park and was a textbook quarter signal about 8 inches deep close to a sidewalk.
The other merc and nickel came from another school
I didn't quite get the dime grand slam but the quarter made up for it.
