Found my first seated quarter last weekend with my F75,was hunting in a freshly worked field where a 1880's ghost town is and found a 1861 seated quarter! Was running about 80 sensitivity and 6 disc. in mono tone among all the nails and junk iron. I love running in that setup,if it beeps I'm digging-ha ha.Thanks for looking-Kurt

It's a little banged up from being plowed and worked up a few times in the last hundred some odd years-but that's OK,I'll keep it :)

Sweet. I love farm hunting, but boy was our season short this year. First it was too wet, then it dried up and they planted everything. I pulled out in one of my fields the other day and thought, hmmm something looks different, they planted over the weekend. Hope we get some time in the fall now. Nice seated, way to go. Glad you shared your settings too. I still am not super confident in my LTD. I think I just need more time with it.

HH, Don

Yep, I would keep it too. I'm still looking for my first one. Congratulations on a great find.

Thanks Jim, After getting this F75 from Richard it has renewed my enthusiasm for detecting!I have found so many first time coins for me this year it is unreal(1860 "fatty"IH,1865 2cent,1853 half dime,1883 seated dime and know a 1861 seated quarter) Know if my health would improve like my finds I would have it made

My gracious. wow.

Kurt,
That is a great find, even with the scratch the seated is still a beautifull coin. Now see what you have done, I just found my first Mercury dime this last weekend now I have to go out and try to find one of these!!! Metal detecting is a great hobby and this forum makes it even better. Randy

I know a seated quarter would improve my health right now. LOL A daily routine of swinging and fresh air is good. Again, great find. HH jim tn
