I found this at a pounded Chi-park with the Etrac.1877s Seated Quarter.
Only My second Seated Quarter. The other was with a CZ-3D But not as good condition.

Congratulations Harold, GREAT FIND!.---Those Seated Liberty quarters sure don't come along very often.-----I've only found one, an 1857P (Philadelphia mint)---it was found with an Etrac also.-----Thanks for posting---your post & pics makes me want to go hunting--RIGHT NOW!-----------Del

Excellent! Nice find Harold.
What were the details, how deep? around junk? on edge, etc.

I'm always curious about the 'hows and the whys' of rare cool finds in pounded parks.
Either deep, on edge, around junk or sometimes just plain missed by others.

It was only about 7" but a nail was in the hole. It was covered with some kind of gummy tar liked substance.
I had to soak it for a while to get it off. That is why it has like discoloration on obverse which I think now makes it look kinda' cool.

Awesome find! The condition is beautiful. That is still one of my white whales. HH

Very nice Harold. Congrats!
