Season not quite over

Last Sept I was at a house detecting and a elderly lady came over and invited me to do her house. The house I was doing was really unproductive so I had it in the back of my head the elderly ladies house was the same. I had about 90 minutes this evening for a hunt before dark and remembered the offer so I headed over and here is what I found...she even offered to turn on her porch light so I could see ! The spoon is a antique Community White Orchid silver plated 1953...I will have to research the knife but I don't think it is silver. Sub-zero temps are predicted within the next few days so I think the window is about closed for this season. 4 silver and 9 wheats ....Good way to end...total 72 silver, 284 wheaties, and my first 1800's coin since I got my Etrac last April. Hopefully I can hit a hundred by April 2014, only have to get through 3 months of Winter. HH

Congrats on the finds !

nice finds! Im going whenever the weather permits it. I think 35 or so is my cutoff. Went yesterday and forgot how brutal winter detecting can be. Still was a fun trip and worth it though.

I'm really looking forward to the winter months for detecting. No bugs, snakes, poison ivy, and vegitation. As long as the wind is not blowing hard a pair of coveralls puts you in business.

Very nice of her and some great finds! Very productive yard. Thanks for the pictures.
