Searching a site again using my Legacy 3500

While I was waiting for my wife to get ready for an outting, I decided to take my Legacy 3500 out and search a nearby site I had gone over before with my Pioneer 505. I didn't have lots of time, so I only took a short 10 minites to do it. I quickly located 2 targets that sounded off in the 10 cent/copper cent range. The first target dug turned out to be a 1940 S wheatback cent (so far, my oldest coin found). The second target dug was a copper tube fitting. Not bad for a short hunt.
My Legacy 3500 is finding quite a few things that my Pioneer 505 has missed using the same 11"DD coil. I believe that the manual ground balance makes the difference. Any thoughts on this?

I don't think the gb is the difference unless they were at the limit of detection. The bh discovery seris and the now legacy seris are designed by contract from an enginering outfit not by bh i can't remember the name just now but i can find it for ya. Those detectors are a completely different animal compared to the other bh machines

I believe that I read somewhere that Dave Johnson was the Chief Project Engineer of the Legacy 3500 Design Team. He works for First Texas.
