Just what does the field of search look like one the X-II. Some photos show a cone shape and others show a uniform depth shape from front to rear of coil?

Hey Rich,
In the manual there is a picture showing a uniform depth shape from front to rear of the coil.
It is definately not cone-shaped.

Its a straight blade down the center of the coil, however the edges of the coil are also hot down to 2 or 3 inches, so I guess you could say its a blade within a circle.. I think this is what confuses some people hunting for shallower clad etc on pinpointing.. the secret is getting the center of the coil over the target which gives the best response
