Search coil prices...

My good Lord! I was thinking of getting a new MXT Pro, but after seeing the price of those search coils! I'm gonna have to give another brand a chance. I currently own a MXT tracker and years ago (i have been out of the hobby for a while) when I bought it I remember being blown away at the cost. Whites needs to wise up. My two cents.

If you already have an MXT then I'd hold off on the MXT pro and save the money. You could buy yourself a few coils and still be money ahead. An entire range of coils would be much more valuable IMHO than more tones and a light. You'd be up to three cents in no time...

The reason for buying the second MXT is so that a family member can use the one I have now. He really likes it but couldn't afford one if he had to.

Watch for used ones (coils) on the forum, Ebay and the like. I see most any of the choices show up fairly often. The same with another MXT. My two bits.

Another thought to consider might be to get an M6 for the time being until finances allow. I have seen a couple for $400 or less on the Finds classifieds.

You can't go wrong with the M6.

I think its one of the best detectors that whites makes!

With the 6x10 DD coil on it ......you will keep up with many detectors!
