From the land of the Bluenose.....have had some problems with the Seahunter mk2 as it seems to fad in and out and chattering all the time now. replaced the headphones and such. Without sending it away anyone have any idea what else to check. Figuring here that I have a loose wire in the coil . Thanks and good hunting!
 
Or maybe a little water has managed to work its way in after the long season of disuse. My Tiger Shark did that... once I started using it this year, it got worse and worse, just as you describe. I am waiting for it to come back from the shop as we speak.
