Seacoast scouting

My friend and I did some scouting at a spot that I took him to. Walked the woods line and the plowed field two hours and did not cover it all. All of these finds were on the surface. One area had a lot of glass. We think there may have been a house in that field. Just as soon as the ground is thawed we have 20-30 acres of good hunting not including the woods nearby. It is a huge site not far from (an old town here in the Northeast). Airport gets loud but the site should produce for years for us. My buddy walked back and got his detector. We were going to look for iron concentrations at the woodline. It was too cold to detect, he lasted 10 minutes. I'll try to get a pic of coin he found just under the frozen peatmoss.

He found this lying on the field surface not under the peat (my mistake), it was a wheatie that he found in the peat. It was green and kind of stood out enough to see. It turned out to be a Nova Constalatio Copper 1780's. We will have years of hunting here and not even cover 1/4 of the area. I am excited to start as soon as things thaw out a bit. The woods will thaw first so there may be stuff in there to find too.
