It beeps on everything depending on how you have the disc set.
Normal beeps, long beeps, short beeps, double beeps,Chattery beeps, and No beeps, The NO Beeps are a bit hard to figure out:surprised::ranting:

You just have to dig everthing for a while to become acustomed to what the sounds mean

use it enough and in time you will learn the difference in all the signals it gives you. remember for us old timers sound was all we had on detectors there was no screen to give us hints. But we got pretty good at identifying the sounds.

Amazingly you could learn to tell approximate depth, size and sometimes even shape by the sound of what's now known as pro audio. The most faint, minute whisper change in the threshold could mean a nice deep coin. After years of that, I'm amazed to this day how much more sensitive my hearing is. I'm always hearing very faint sounds that others miss, whether in public, in nature, or wherever.

Of course my wife would argue about my hearing...

thank u guys for reply...i know what i need now....i need just time and patience....it is true the sea mark is 30 years old? like me?

MKII design is twelve years old. Introduced in 1999 and still made as far as I know.:wiggle:
The original Sea Hunter is indeed thirty years old as it was introduced in 1981.:garrett::detecting:

just another question please

why while detecting with the sea mark i ear a continue noise a bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. it will cause a headache...any suggestion?

You may have your threshold setting set too high. You want to turn the threshold dial to the left until you hear a faint audible hum. Turn it too low and you may miss some more faintly sounding (deep) targets. Turn it too far to the right and you'll really get a headache! Mine is set around 3 or so but it really depends on the sand you are detecting in. I tend to get a headache when I find a lot of shallow targets. There's no volume control in those headphones so only lots of wind or surf drowns out the beeping!
If the threshold isn't the problem, you might try putting something like foam inside the ear cups of the headphones to cut down on the sound volume, but I haven't tried it...

I'm sure you'll find that magic setting soon! I'm going out on tomorrow's low tide so thanks for the luck, I hope it helps!
