Dos anybody use a Sea Hunter??? Any Tips would be appreciated Thanks, Mickfin,

the sea hunter is a good machine if you don't mind digging a lot and deep but that is what beach hunting is all about, dig every target

Is that all the Sea Hunters out their???? Thanks 4R the the People that came in with the encouragement Cozz I just got one and i Live it, Thanks, Mickfin,

Hi, Mickfin, I have the Sea Hunter II, but haven't used it for a while...I have it for my back-up, now, but intend to take it out again soon.. I dont live near beaches, so have to make a special trip. Sea Hunter is very good, I've found some nice stuff with mine. I've used both the 8" and the 10 x 14 coils...both are very sensitive and go deep. If you hunt with beaches that have black sand, especially swirling around in the water, you may have to use a slight amount of elimination, and if it's really bad, put it in discreet mode as well. Still get depth, but I suspect not as much as in ordinary mode...but, best to adjust for the current conditions, or you'll lose depth anyway. Hope you have fun with yours.

Get you the 10 x 14 mono coil, Cover alot of ground fast and go's very deepppp . Ron Lord some where in Northen FLA.

Furious T, Do you think i can set the Sea Hunter up in 8 Disk in Descret and go for the Deep Silver on the turff and just go for the faint signals???? Mickfin

Mickfin, I can say that I've never had the elimination that high. The thing about the elimination on the Sea Hunter is, because it's a PI machine, you cant get rid of the iron, which is what you want to get rid of most. So, by putting the elimination up high, you might lose pulltabs, but you will also lose some gold, and perhaps some silver (small chains). If you are only after large gold and silver rings, then you could set the elimination higher, but you could miss smaller gold (although the Manual says you wont) and otherwise hard-to-detect targets (chains, bracelets etc). I only use the elimination knob to cut down the effects of black sand, not to knock out targets...also, I only use it when I feel I really need to do so, not just every time I detect...Hope this helps...It's a good machine...dont swing the coil too fast, or you will lose depth...one or two ft. per sec. is the recommended speed. Again, if you want to find chains and bracelets, use the elimination sparingly. Good luck with your hunting...I'm sure you'll do well.

Yes Furious T Im going to a old Army bace wear i found Mercs and just go 4R the Silver N S-Quarters . I know wen i turn up the Elem to 8 i loos depth,
But wen im on the beach i will go Standered 0 , Just experementing???? Will let you know, Mickfin

Why is it you dont hear to mutch about the Garrett Sea Hunter, I think it is a good PI unit???? If it had a Power word Like Pro Hunter i think you would hear more about it on the forums???????? Mickfin,

My buddy had one. Like the others are saying it go's deep........ the stock headphones will deafen you severely, If you plan on using The Sea-hunter alot in the non-submerge hunting you might look into Garrett's other Volume adjustable headphone's.

The Sea Hunter is a great machine for my type of hunting. Wouldn't go on a hunt without it. I love the awesome depth of this machine. The 10X14 Mono is a must have for surf hunting.

Most of the older hunter use it . The Sea Hunter has been around for over 30 years ,that aloan says some thing about this detector , It's also a PI detector and you have to dig everything, but again it go's very deep. Myself I am a begginer I've been huntting for 35 years LOLO
