Sea Hunter or Excal....

if u get the bigger mono coil it would go deeper than the xcal but u will lose some sensitivity to small gold ...i stand by the xcal 2

The Sea Hunter will find more targets because it does'nt mask iron or have any discrimination to speak of. I have owned both and now just use the ExcalliburII because it can discriminate and has iron mask making an easy choice for me. The Sea Hunter will do exactly what it is supposed to do just make sure what YOU want to do. Good Luck! HH :minelab:

I have both, and the both have their place. For my type of water hunting, I need extra depth that the Excal 1000 can't give me, so I use the Sea Hunter with the 10X14 mono. Another plus is the stock option the Sea Huntert gives of being able to change coils over the hardwired Excal. But the disc capabilities and tones on the Excal are second to none. Sure, I dig alot more with the Sea Hunter, but after I leave a spot, I feel it has been thoroughly hunted for the deeper items. JMO.

You can't go wrong with either machine !!
