Sea Hunter Finds More Rings in the Surf

I went out last week in the surf to pull out these two rings, a nice large black onyx silver ring and a titanium spinner ring. A little boy and his father asked what I was hunting for and right at that time I had a nice signal. Dug the target and showed him the silver ring. That is what we are looking for! Little boys like to hold the find in their hands for closer inspection. Needless to say, I held on to the ring tightly. I found the classic assortment of hoop earrings and junk jewelry to round out the day. Looking forward to the 4th of July. How about you guys and gals???? Good hunting and good success. EZ

Those are beauties:thumbup:

nice job on the finds!are you serching in standard or discrete mode?bought mine yesterday found my first ring today.mine gives me static in standard mode but works fine in discrete. i am in saint pete fla.

Wayne,

I search 99% in standard mode. It is noisy but you can hear the threshold go up when the target is near and you get better depth. I dig just about everything unless the junk targets are abundant. 0 on the discrimination. I hunted Siesta Key about a month ago and LOVE :wiggle::tongue:that beach. You are lucky to live on the West Coast of Florida. Those beaches are killers.... Stay in touch. EZ

I will suck it up and go standard mode next hunt. i enjoy the quiet of disc mode Alot.Pin pointing is alot easier in standard mode .I will keep plugging away!

Hi Mick,

Good to hear from you. I posted 2 posts. The earlier post I found 2 gold rings, one (yellow) of which I returned to the owner. It was down about 8 to 10 inches in waist deep water. Lucky find. The second ring (white gold) was down about 6" in the surf knee deep, low tide also. The silver ring in this post was only about 5" the same for the titanium ring. Take care, love this sea hunter.
