bad news set at 2 1/2 on standard loses small gold and white gold.depth very shallow on the good stuff set that high.I did the same thing when i got mine to calm the noise down.no gold.took out some gold and tested in the water and zero is where you need to be.The larger coil covers alot more ground, but more difficult to pin point.Shape and tone will come to you as you use it and the gold will come!I cashed in xxx.00 in the first 2 1/2 months using it .It works![/quote
Thanks for the info water wayne i will turn her down ! .... Do you prefer the 8 or 10 inch coil ?

I cover so much more ground with the bigger coil so its a no brainer for me.Deep sand in most areas here on te west coast of florida.most finds are not that deep any way.pin pointing is critical.dont overdig your holes .start shallow then pinpoint then dig.hit low tide knee deep and find the hard sand going to the deerper water.do a zig zag to find the line then work around each target to see if you found a zone.bigger coil smoother in the waves as far as noise .hope this helps.good luck.!
P S no excuses you have to use it to find it.Wayne
I spoke with Garrett today and the discrete mode is a vlf signal so you have 2 detectors in one !When you hit a good target it will let you know so good luck !
