I have been using the SE for 2 years and love it.I plan on getting the e-Trac real soon.I was just told that some E-trac users arent getting the Depth the SE gets..Is this true??I was thinking the E-Trac would go Deeper if anything.Sorry if this has been mentioned before.Thx for any and all replies

Same depth for me, my silver finds have increased with the E-Trac.

I have some opinions as to why the E-Trac might seem not to go as deep, but I think it is just a perception. It's hard to believe how nice and consistent it hits on good coins, I think people might get a bit lazy in digging the deeper iffy signals. You still need to listen to those little peeps and iffy signals to get the deep stuff.

Well I just ain't digging 10 or 12 inches with the Lesche trowel. If I've got the Land Shark with me I'll go for it. This dirt here in middle Georgia is like concrete right now. However it is supposed to rain the next week or so and has been for the last two days so I'm not gonna dig in mud either. Just a personal choice I guess.

I think the ETrac is marginally deeper than a standard SE. An SE with a pro coil I would say it's negligable.
I say this because as per a previous thread, FER numbers increase on targets with depth. The ETrac FER scale has been increased from 30 to 35.
Iron rejection on the ETrac is usually FER 35 & 34 where the iron rejection is FER 30 & 29 on the SE.
The Pro coil punches slightly deeper also and is more sensitive.
