Well it's been little over a year with my SE and found over 475 in change 25 rings and a few odds and in's and 4 pcs of older silver.just don't seem to be getting the depth with my SE..6'' been watching captin se's videos over and over trying to see what I'm doing wrong. maybe the older silver just gone in my area .lol all i can do is keep swinging in northern California I LOVE THIS HOBBY p.s how do you get pic upper left corner and your tools bottom left corner ??

Go into the control center to upload a picture (avatar), and update your profile. Cant help you with your Se as I just got mine. Good luck and just keep at it, you'll find the good stuff your looking for.

Your finds sound darn good to me, especially on the rings. Obviously it depends on how often you are out there as well. Are you hunting strictly beaches? What size coil you using? What may help is setting your gain for awhile on 7 so you get used to weaker signals. I think you will be surprised how many deep signals you are getting. Like you said if it aint there you cant find it. 6" is a pretty average depth for those old finds.

I work a lot of parks and fair grounds and i have the 11'' DD coil, i get to the beach once and a while and i get 3-4 months off a year cant fix roads in the winter.. thanx

For more depth and targets you can crank your sensitivity all of the way up if you can, reduce your discrimination, up your gain, and/or hunt some different spots. Good luck.

[size=large]i agree with surfman as regards your pic. i hurt just watching the smiley bang its head. so please find something kinder?
i have only had this ex se pro for two months but i'm certain there is no silver coins left in my fav park and the oldest coins are mid 60's and newer.
the place has been picked clean of silver coins. one guy i met in this park told me he and his brother have been at it for years. he came over to where i was practicing with the ex se and showed me a silver ring he just found. there is hope for those items. as you said there may not be silver coins to find .i'm sure i'm getting at least an inch deeper than my xlt got. i have found a few coins that were deeper than other finds but was using the ex se. this could be my error and lack of experience. hope springs eternal. :beers:
