in the proscess of trading for a se pro is the machine as good as everyone says? hope so if it is might become my primary instead of back up sorry whites lol .anyway any advice would be apprecated . wont be able to use it for awhile live in new york ground frozen foot an a half of snow.gonna hit some sites i used my v3i on when weather is warmer see what pops out. new to this hobby but made some nice finds oldest coin 1807 half cent
 
A lots depends on if you are looking for silver. If so then yes this could be the ideal machine for you. The v3i, is an excellent machine. Everyone seems to find THEIR machine... try her out, but be wiling to spend a year or so to ensure you know how it work. Way to many people use it 6 months or every now and then and think they have it down.
