SE Pro coil: Worth buying? and where? If you got one tell me how you like it.

Chris,

It's the real deal. Sounds are crisper. Target separation, especially on deeper targets, it's almost like a sniper coil that can easily hit stuff at 7-8 inches, even small targets at those depths. I got mine a Kellyco when they first came out, not sure if they are still backordered or what.

When I first got it, I took it to Horace White, where I've found very little over the years, but old ground. Two trips, about 4 hrs total, I got 2 indians, 1 merk, and a couple teen wheats. All of them were hide close to iron. The indians were in an area that I've worked with the 1050 stock, WOT and slimline coils...they didn't see them.

If you ever wanted to hook up, you could run mine on your machine, before you spend the $200. PM me if interested.

I had my new Pro coil out for the first time this afternoon and I am very pleased. I took it to a semi-trashy city park and noticed that it definately has better separation capabilities than the stock 1050 coil. With that being said I think my 8 inch minelab coil could give as good separtation but the coverage capability of the Pro coil is far superior.

I let him try one of my first one as I got 2 of them and I bet I will have quite a fight to get it back as he seems to love it. There is a problem he has seen and my friend Tim does too and that is be care full if you only want to dig the deeper and weaker signals as some of the deeper one sound pretty loud and unless you look at the depth meter or pinpoint you may leave some deeper target as they sound too loud to be that deep.
I got 5 more of these coils in on Thursday and I have one left right now if you are interested and if you are up in this area right now I will even let you try it before you buy and you can see what it can do for you.

Chris, I was so impressed with it, I just bought a second for my other SE. Me and my son would fight over which one of us would get to use it. Separates better than coils smaller than it and finds targets deeper than the stock. More stable than just about any coil I own and I own and USE all of them. Will easily become your favorite most used coil. And the weight is a joke, careful, you might loose your Popeye forearms. I always hunt in auto sensitivity, however, since I started using this Pro coil, I am hunting in Manual at about 27-29 and staying as stable as if I am using auto. Only time I had to turn it down was in a lightning storm. You may have to turn your gain down some as even the deepies sound off like they are on the surface, loud and crisp. All though the coil gets enough separation in heavy iron to squeeze out a few no coil that big should be able to find, you will still need your smaller 5 and 6 inch coils but it will truly astonish you with it's separation capabilities, I took it to places where my 4.5x7, SR5 and Ex6 weren't pulling anything and pulled out 4 Indians in about 45 minutes, that sounded off clear as a bell, with 3 and 4 flat iron nails in the same holes. WAY IMPRESSED:thumbup:

The coil is great, but heavy to swing for long periods of time. I prefer the 5.5X10" coiltech DD coil for light weight and good depth. The 11" will undoubtedly go deeper, though.

Why in the world do we help these newbies (I'm not talking about Chris) and worse....Whites users:starwars:??? All we are really doing is making less finds available for our selves:thumbdown: Let's start lying to them and give them bad, confusing advice. Then we can keep it all the loot for ourselves.:clapping:
