I guess some have seen my post about selling and buying another E-trac. I just would like to thank Bryce and everyone else for the help with the SE. I just couldn't get used to the multi tones. I probally could if I gave it more time,But with my busier life lately and responsibility's my hunting time is limited. So I decided to go back to the E-trac and the 4 tones I know so well. Thanks again for all the advice.

For those who started out on the ET i have no doubt the learning curve on the SE isnt fun. Ive used several machines and not every machine suits you or your hunting. Good luck and enjoy the hunt.

Harold-----I think most all of us that are serious about m.d.ing have had to try several detectors before we find/settle on one that works best for us.------I know I sure have--I've tried/used (more than) my share of detectors--and my billfold will tell ya that to!------I'm glad that you settled on one you are happy with (Etrac).------One things for sure---ALL of the Explorer line & Etrac are SILVER KILLERS (with capital letters)!----------Del

Harold we each have certain things that we prefer and that draw us back... or to a detector.

I STILL love and use my CZ's...and will always have one in my stable....so I know good and well about those 4 sweet tones you like:thumbup:

As for the E-Trac you prefer...well I use one of those too and love it myself.

The ctx3030....I have one of those too....for now. Not sure whether or not I'll keep it...but I do still have it.

I find myself going back and forth between the SE and the E-Trac most of the time...then when my shoulder starts hurtin'...I'll swing the ctx for a while.

Your classy post here shows you are a really good guy and you're more than welcome for any advice or suggestions received here.

I'll be watchin' for your posts on the E-Trac forum and will probably start posting some of my E-Trac finds myself.

Good luck on your next hunt.

Explorers are NOT for everyone.. no way .. but it seams If you can understand all it is telling you , then it is one of the hardest detectors to beat for deep old silver dimes.. Pretty sure all new models of detectors , are very good at what they do.. just depends on what you like ! For field detecting , its hard to beat a whites , tesoro , etc.. because the coins are usually shallow.. and you want to cover a lot of ground .. then weight is the key.. which the explorer loses on that category..
