SE beach hunt

Ive been hunting in the water for the past 3 months but the water has been a little ruff. So i grabbed the SE and decided to do a little wet and dry sand hunting on one of the local beaches. There are a lot of hunters now days on the beaches with the price of gold so it was pretty quiet. I think i got 3 pull tabs in a 3 hour hunt. I managed about $3 in clad and was digging pennies 16 inches deep so no wonder no one was getting these really green coins. They had been there for some time. At that depth thou it was still clear they were coins. The small chain says italy 925, as is the small peace ring and the nice heavy earring. The ring appears to be stainless and isnt marked but it hit just above foil at 8 inches so i was thinking gold..... but not. This other piece appears to be an old neckless, not sure if its brass or copper, but its pretty soft. You may be able to see at the bottom those tiny round circles they had copper loops on them so i believe there were things dangling off this main piece. Pretty heavy piece. Just thought id post a few finds to show that the SE does an excellent job on the beach. Ive hunted this very same area a couple of days ago with the Xcal and missed these items.

Nice hunt Dew.

I agree...the SE does an excellent job at getting keepers that other machines miss....no matter what the other machine is.

Yes this was on a salt water beach using the SEF 10 X12 coil. I was running an IM at about 25, gain 10, sensitivity 26. In the foam 26 sensitivity would pick up the salt from the waves a bit. But not enough to affect any TID since the falsing real like foil 11-01. Anything above that..... dig. With the limited adjustments and preset iron disc the Xcal cant compete with the SE on the wet and dry sand for depth or sensitivity of targets..... but its much quieter. Took another look at that ring .... its a spinner.
