SDC2300

I believe that's the new PI detector Minelab is coming out with.

Here are a couple links of Minelab's new gold detector the SDC 2300.

geez, I read the title and was at first shocked. I just got my CTX 3030 and it is already out dated lol. Thank god that the new one is a gold detector..

This thing could actually prove pretty useful on salt water beaches and VA relic site too. Can't wait to try one out!

Well for $3750 retail it better be useful doing a lot of things.
I am very surprised they didn't price it closer to the Garrett ATX, which is over a thousand cheaper.
When we are spending that kind of money for a detector must probably don't mind spending the 1 or 2 thousand more on a GPX

I just bought an ATX from a forum vendor. After the discount, I could have received two (2) of them for $3750! Is it just me or does it seem like the cost of technologically advanced detectors has tripled in recent years? Now that I think about it, so has the number of detectorists I see in the parks and on the beaches.

$3750 retail? Wow, I thought it would be priced to compete with the ATX as well. My hunting group will stay far away at that price.

Well, for one thing, the shaft looks to me made of similar materials. That means it might be subject to some of the same issues as the CTX shaft seems to be having.

I am sure there will be deals, but I am sure the ATX does too, so net result is a lot of money
