Screwence P. Driver. 2002-2008. RIP

I suppose I could write a poem or put together a slide show with lots of soft fade ins, but this was a no nonsense work-horse screwdriver and wouldn't go for that flu-flu BS. Lots of callouses and a few Rics over the years. Memories.

She did rescue this 1904 Barber quarter this afternoon before heading to that big toolbox in the sky.

No flowers, please.

Nice Barber Chris.... :detecting:

Sorry about your loss, I tell you what though.
I have made handles for diggers like you broke out of golf balls,
just drill a hole slightly smaller than the shaft and tap it on with a hammer!:detecting:

Just seems like it would be hard to get much digging torque from a small golf ball size handle. I think I will mosey to the hardware store and look for one of Screwence's kin.

I hope that you can find in your heart another special replacement, after being together for so long, that will be able to take place of the one you lost. I hope that you can move on without much grief since time is the only healer here. RIP Screwence P. Driver. Good Luck and HH.

How are you getting along !!!

Here's a gif on screw driver extraction, I "borrowed" from somewhere a long time ago.
It certainly is a great method in the right situation eh !

You might want to try the golf ball solution though before you throw away your screw driver.
The golf ball gives you a pretty broad spread of pressure, and I feel you will be surprised how good it really is !
Don't drill the hole right through, I leave about 3/8" ...

It was a bit tough diggin' but when you found a Coin, it was Old. I haven't been back to that spot since then. Should go back and work it more and talk with some of the locals to see who bails the grass for hay and see when the next time will be they do it. Then a person could get their Coil on the ground and find the Deeper Coins that I am sure are still there. Good Luck and HH.
