If you are referring to Smartfind and digital then yes, I am sure they are the same. At least .. I don't notice any difference.

There are a few ways to change the sounds/tones.....but changing the screens dont.

YES the sounds are the same as far as screens go from Digital to SC.
Although, you can change the sounds in either screen mode (speaking from using XS now XSII) from Normal, Audio1, Audio 2, Audio 3 and you then can go into Variabilities which will change the tone pitch suitable to you.
Other settings like swithing from Cond. to Ferrous will move the sounds in correlation to the Screen Cursor but the sounds will stay the same.

Actually bud...an open screen will make it "sound" different because you will hear everything including iron...which will make your silver tones blend in with your low iron grunts if you are hunting in ferrous tones while in the open screen. Just my two cents.
