The screen where it shows the numbers goes blank from time to time when I'm hunting.I find the target and it shows for example 66 and I swing again its shows 99 then blank for few seconds.

Any idea,its well ground balanced.
 
I look at the screen, but I mainly listen to the tone. In pro mode the machines sound is more reliable than the #s for deep objects. But a nice chunk of Iron at 12 inches or more is still too much for me to resist. The tone is sometimes very nice with these, and a small thump each way.

Iron buckles, horse shoes, harness parts, an adz, hatchets and axes, I love that stuff too.
