I've decided to give these a try, Would like opinions on what is the best for our kind of use. I do alot of water hunting so will I have problems with it staying in place? I've never used these so have no idea how there applied..

I would get a Zagg HD for an Ipad you can cut atleast 3 from it I put mine on after my very first hunt at mrytle beach it got scratched. These will work the thin skin was made for the miltary for helicopter blades it can hold up to the water mine has been in the lakes where I live and at the beach.

Don't forget MT Wolf we can not use that word..... :poke:

I ordered one today from Ebay real cheap... The company name starts in Z and ends in G

opps I forgot thanks for fixin me sorry

Staples sells them. Get non-glare and cut to fit. I-Phone size worked on both my E-Trac and CTX. Be sure to take the plastic film off that Minelab has on the screen. HH :minelab:

Those of you that are using them, did you just cover the clear display part, or did you also cover the buttons? If you covered the buttons how hard was it to get it to lay down correctly?
Joe

I covered the screen, then I cut a second piece to cover all the buttons, I left the black part around the screen alone...

Joe---I measured it and cut it out to cover the screen (used the clear ones, not the anti-glare)--then my wife made a template for the buttons area & I cut the material out using the template & installed it over the buttons & that area.----It smoothed out and adhered to the buttons just fine (I went clear to the sides with the material over the buttons as much as I could).---It looks great and is staying on fine, it gives the buttons as well as the screen an excellent protection.---Instructions says you can remove it if necessary & it will leave no residue.----I did like Don, didn't cover the black area by the screen--as the screen is somewhat recessed.----Just follow the instructions that comes with the packet & you should have no problem at all getting it to smooth out & adhere to the surface.---------Del

Thank you D&P-OR, I also wanted protection for the buttons. I will get a sheet of it and give it a go. I should have gotten a sheet and covered the logo on the side with it, I found out the hard way bug spray on skin takes the paint off... :rage:

Don't think we are supposed to say the name here as they aren't a sponsor.-----Hint, the first letter is "Z".

I am just guessing here but since the company being referenced is not directly related to metal detectors or treasure hunting, rather they simply make screen covers for electronic devices (with the biggest market I suspect being cell phones and tablets) I would be surprised if mentioning their name would be considered a problem. Such rules tend to exist to prevent competitors of the paid sponsors from sneaking in free advertising - not to prevent useful information exchange between members.

It's a problem all right, not sure why. But if you type Z-A-G-G = ZAGG, your letters get scrambled like this @#$%&.

I see what you mean now. Wow - that seems a bit excessive. Although I wonder if the system thinks it is sniping a potential cuss word that was slightly altered.
