Screen fading out ?

Anyone have the problem of the screen fading out and sometimes blanking out on the swing? Mine has been doing it just lately. I hope it's still under warranty if it's something that needs an overhaul.

I never had any issues and especially not what you are describing. Definitely not normal behavior. I hope it is still under warranty for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

First one I had developed a spot in the center and then faded away. Came back with just the spot in the center so I returned it as it was only a week old. Minelab said they could not duplicate the problem in their shop. Sold the replacement shortly after I confirmed it was a working unit.

NO I'm real careful in transporting my detectors.

Anyone having Crow for supper? I need a big plate. I took the Nox 800 for another spin this evening just to make sure the problem of fading out was still present. Sure enough it started happening again. Before I left the house I went out in the yard and swung it with no fading. Walking down the beach and watching it fade out was discouraging and I thought to myself what the difference between the beach and my yard could be, took my polarized. prescription glasses off to see the screen more clearly, fading went away and it works like it suppose to. I owe the Nox owners a big apology for introducing a supposed problem that was operator error. I also owe Minelab an apology for submitting a problem report where there is none.

That's really weird with my polarized Maui jims I can see my screen perfectly anyone else experience that with their sunglasses?

I have also noticed that at times Mark…. Sometimes the angle of view causes it too.

Yes my polarized Oakley does the same to me.
