Scrap Metals=$

In the last 3 weeks of detecting, I have found numerous large items that I think might have some metal value. I suspect some are copper, brass, etc. Are any of you getting money from a metal recycler? Is there an easy way to know what the metal content of these items are?

Started saving my scrap. Been finding copper ,brass ,lead and of course aluminum. Haven`t looked at the prices lately but #1 copper may still be around $.80 a pound. #1 copper is clean with like no solder ,paint or anything on it and is by itself with nothing attached to it. I seperate my scrap by #1 and #2 copper ,brass ,lead ,aluminum ,aluminum cans ,etc. Otherwise you get less for it. Use some 5 gal. buckets and it will pay off.

The easy way of finding out the metal content---Just take it to the scrap yard--They are the experts--They will tell what it is and what they will pay---As buyers The DONT make many mistakes--To many and their out of business-- They are the bottom line--Deathwind1
