Scout help

I found this Scout-O-Rama (slide?) and I can't place a year to it, there is no other markings and the back looks to be crudely soldered on. I'm guessing maybe the 40's or 50's??

Just guessing but the Indian face reminds me of Chief Blackhawk. The Blackhawk council of Boy Scouts is based in Rockford. Isn't Rob from the Rockford area? He might know someone to ask.

My dad told me stories of the Chicago area Scouts that would come on up to West Michigan to Owassippi Scout reservation on Blue Lake back in the 40's...said they had the coolest big war canoes he had ever seen! All hand made of course..
Back then, Scouting was pretty huge...troops were active and abundant. One of my earliest memories was my Grandpa taking me fishing out on Blue Lake, we rented a boat, he had some sort of old small low hp outboard we hooked to the transom...I caught some bluegills and my first bullhead...that was 50yrs ago, and I can still take you to the exact spot!...funny?...I detect there now occasionally..my dad is a wealth of knowledge, he remembers everything...theres some places on Blue Lake a guy needs to hit with tanks I think....anyway, when a guy finds a neckerchief slide, it brings back those kind of happy memories..thanks for this post Larry!:please:
