hunted a 1840's home site today and found a ladys make up rouge thing and got the biggest musket ball i've ever found .50 cal or bigger and some kind of old canada pin anyone from canada knows what this is i would like to know, thanks!
 
If you can send a better picture I can have it identified for you. Just a shot with it by itself...in focus...front and back. Definitely military in origin.
 
You my friend are the proud owner of a WW1 General Service cap badge. Nice find.
