I went to a local river to mess around and brought a folding military digging tool (e-tool) it didn't work out very well so i was wondering what would be the a good type of scope to get for fresh water hunting

Get a good stainless steel one....it will last. Check out the different types these dealers (sponsors of Findmall) carry.

I use this one. It goes deep fast in sand and small gravel.

I use a RTG aluminum scoop with a stainless steel tip...works awesome in sand and small gravel. Below is a link:

How is THIS for a scoop...It was homemade and built like a tank...Solid Aluminum...:super:

I have not had a chance to use it yet, as I do not have a car at present, and cannot get to the water...:surrender:

HH,

No Sir...I aquired (purchsed) it from another hunter who injured his knee and back and was no longer able to water hunt...He had it made for him by a friend I believe...Not entirely sure who the maker was...I will have to ask him.

HH,

That's some skillful craftsmanship, hope you can get it in the water before too long!!

I use this one. http://www.prostockdetectors.com/REVC.html
It is built like a tank and the holes are much smaller then similar designs...even the smallest earings do not fall thru it.

This is the one I have. It is very well built and costs a bit less than the competition scoops.
