scenes from the annual East Coast Big Dig

From the land of the Bluenose...finds were few but the laughs and good time abound. Thanks to Johnnie D in Truro for getting it going this year. Only three oldies found....Len (NB) 1865 Newfoundland large cent, Sean(NB) 1812 I believe trade token and I a meager 1908 large cent. Scottie (NS) and Mel(NS) both dug up silver dimes from the 60's.

Nice social gathering with the major excitement was when 12 of us got stopped as we were all loaded in a truck on the back road by the police as bird hunting season had started. After a pleasant half hour conversation we were on our way.

Highlight for me was this was the first Big Dig I ever attented (missed only the first one) that I can recall the whole dig as Mr. Bud was elsewhere...lol! Didn't put names with the photos as I'm sure you folks have never meet any of us save possibly Len who attended the GNRS a few years back! If you would like to know who is who just ask or check my forum as I'll make a post there.
