The C$ is a great detector for high trash areas, the best way to learn how the C$ works is to lay targets on top of the ground and sweep over them. Have a row of coins with no trash around them, then have a row of coins with trash next to them, and finally have a row of coins with nails or other debris on top of the coins.
You will notice that the C$ has super fast target processing software and likes a moderate sweep speed, where the Explorer requires a slow sweep speed. Another feature about the C$ is the detection depth stays the same in disc or all metal and it will id targets in either mode. The C$ is very sensitive to threshold settings, adjusting the thresh settings while sweeping your targets will have you scratching your head for about the first twenty hours of use, but then it will start making sense. Bugar That means it has been two years since are first hunt together......I remember you picked the C$ up at the post office that morning. I remember walkin around with you checkin targets....We knew you got a winner on that day.....I was really impressed with the c$....Felt it was the best detector on the market....I still do today.Hopefully the weather will break soon and we can go huntin...

Mike it seems like yesterday when you got the C$....I know you almost gave up on the Beast early on...I am glad you stuck with it...1st Birthday Thats a Major Milestone with any C$ owner.

the best thing for a CZ owner to do is lay the CZ's aside for awhile and completely focus on the C$ and try not to switch back & forth. They are really two differnt machines and act totally different.

Sure miss those hunts, but weather breaks=we be out there again, it's still a winner <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> <img src="/metal/html/super.gif" border=0 width=26 height=28 alt=":super"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/usmc.gif" BORDER=0 width=19 height=21 ALT="usmc">
