The owner ( Guvner) and administrators do everything possible to eliminate scams on Finds Treasure Forum.
Their always alert to possible scammers, and eliminate them as soon as humanly possible.
That however isn't always enough to eliminate scammers completely.
The bulk of being careful still lies with the person making the trade/buy etc. on here or any other forum.
If the deal sounds to good to be true..it usually is.
If the scammer has no feedback on Finds Treasure forum be really careful. This feed back does not always guarantee a perfect transaction either. It does help !!
Some do a couple of deals and then scam for a higher priced item.
Ask for references..This doesn't always ensure a perfect deal, but it helps.
Never send an item to someone you do not know without first getting paid for the item. Have your own references ready for buyers that prove you are honest.
I would suggests never send to a PO box..Yes some good people have PO boxes but many, many scammers use this as a cover to scam buyers and sellers.
Have a good phone number, speak with the person your going to deal with.. feel them out a little. It helps.
If something does not feel right about the deal...Pass it by......... No seemingly good deal is worth a huge loss.
Remember you are ultimately responsible for making a trustworthy deal/trade/buy....no one else can be held accountable. Not even the scammer in most instances..They have your product, and are gone on to their next scam.
I'm sure there are people here that know other safety means for buying and selling and I welcome their posts adding anything additional that helps us all.
This is not a funny matter. So no wise responses please. Any and all such responses will be removed immediately.
