Saxon Rifled Musket Bullet?

I found this 50 cal single ring pointy bullet that exhibits the ramrod mark and the rifling around the base ring. I was told it was from a Han Ovarian Rifled Musket made in Saxony which is now Germany. Is it correct and does it have any rarity?

It does appear to be a Hanovarian/Saxon but I do not recognize the caliber. They normally are found in SW Tennessee if associated with our Civil War period in large or pistol calibers. Nice find, what area did it come from?

Just up the creek from an old arsenal. Will be going back to look for more. Here are more pics. Ramrod and rifling marks very noticeable. Nice white patina weighing in at 228 grains.I sure hope there are more of them. I can hardly believe I rescued this one in fired but in near dropped condition. I did get an Infantry" I" button about a tenth mile down the creek bed from this bullet. I hope you enjoyed the pics. I will share as I find them.

Can you tell me the number of Lands or Grooves from bullet? might be able to ID it for you.

Best I can see is eight flats with six grooves each.

Assuming 8 Lands and grooves and German then the closest I can get is the .58 caliber - M1835/1837 Prussian Jaeger Short Rifle (Neue Korps - Jeagerbuchse). Your caliber is off but might have been squeezed. It also looks like cloth was used for wadding suggesting the bullet was undersized. You might try posting your bullet on the CW Projectiles Forum. There are a lot of bullet guys over there and can probably do a better job with foreign bullets than me.
